民進黨選舉對策委員會今(7)日委由祕書長洪耀福、選對會召集人林錫耀、陳明文，和台北市黨部主委黃承國共同徵詢有意參選台北市長選舉的立委姚文智意見，姚文智表示，「我一直認為我是最強的，有信心取得最大勝利。」

雙方歷經將近一小時的會談，姚文智在會後表示，今天是第一次表達意願，並被告知黨有徵詢程序，他尊重這項安排，也希望選對會要徵詢基層意願，這項討論到下周才會有結果。

姚文智說，「我當然充份表達對於競選台北市長已經做好充足準備，也談了首都的政策和願景，希望選對會能考量，由黨自提人選，對首都市民負責。」

姚指出，他在會談中也提及 2014 年在野整合狀況，但現在 2018 年已經是民進黨完全執政，首都必須自提人選，情況已經不同。

對於選對會強調，如果民進黨要自提人選，一定要提最強的。姚文智說，「我一直認為，我是最強的。」記者告知前副總統呂秀蓮堅持選到底，姚文智回應說，「尊重呂副的說法。」
